Our program.
Child in hospital care.   Childhood cancer should be treated at a major medical center like Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital. Our multidisciplinary team offers the best in diagnosing cancer and the most advanced treatments. And because we never forget children still need to be treated like children, we offer a Child Life program and a Clown Care Unit.

Diagnosing cancer.
Dr. looking at xray.   Diagnosing cancer takes the most advanced diagnostic tests available and an experienced cancer team to interpret the results. Learn more about the initial exam with a pediatric oncologist as well as testing procedures including imaging tests, blood tests and biopsy. Most tests are performed in the Pediatric Specialty Center.

Treating cancer.
Treating cancer.   Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy are helping more children win the battle against cancer. Treatment is delivered in an outpatient setting. Research is constantly providing improved therapies for children treated at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital.

For parents.

Tommy Fund.   The Tommy Fund and its volunteers have helped improve the care children receive at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital through fundraisers like the sale of holiday cards, donations of equipment and toys and more.
