Parking update
 

Due to ongoing construction and limited garage parking availability, patients and visitors are strongly encouraged to use valet parking at 1450 Chapel St., New Haven, CT. Valet is available 5 am – 7 pm and costs $10 first hour; $3 each additional 30 minutes; $22 for 7 hours; 7- 24 hours for $25.

If needed, you may drop off your patient at 1450 Chapel St. then self-park at the Orchard Street Garage, entrance at 583 George Street, New Haven, CT in the designated patient and visitor parking spaces. Self-parking costs $1 per hour up to 7 hours; $20 over 7 hours.

From the Orchard Street Garage, take the Floor 2, South Side pedestrian bridge and follow signage to the George Street Garage Elevators. Take the elevator to Floor 1 and follow signs to the McGivney Surgery Center. For more information, contact our parking office at 203-915-0089.

Overview

The McGivney Advanced Surgery Center specializes in outpatient, same-day surgical treatment for bone, joint and spine conditions. The Advanced Surgery Center is part of Yale New Haven Hospital, the only hospital in the country to have earned the highest level certifications for all major orthopedic services, including knee and hip replacement.

Orthopedic Surgery

  • Ankle injuries and ankle joint replacement
  • Arthroscopic repair for ACL, PCL or meniscus (knee ligament) injury
  • Hip replacement
  • Knee replacement
  • Wrist, hand and finger surgery, including carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger
  • Shoulder injuries, including rotator cuff repair
  • Sports injuries

Podiatric Surgery

  • Achilles tendon injuries
  • Hammertoe and other toe disorders
  • Foot surgery for conditions such as bone spurs, bunions, plantar fasciitis

Spine Surgery (Neurosurgery)

  • Spine procedures such as discectomies in the neck (cervical), middle back (thoracic) and lower back (lumbar)

Pre- and Post-Surgery Rehabilitation Onsite

  • Rehabilitation begins the same day as your surgery with physical therapy at the Center
