Tree of Life bronze sculpture to honor organ and tissue donors

Members of the YNHH organ and tissue transplantation team will unveil a Tree of Life sculpture on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 3 p.m. The tree, a bronze-like statue, was designed and created by Woodbridge, CT resident and former Hopkins School student Alex Blythe as a part of his high school senior project.

It was generously donated to YNHH by Alex and his family, "as a thank you to the many tireless volunteers, donor families and recipients who have touched our hearts over so many years." This tree represents those who have given the gift of life to others through organ and tissue donation.
