Yale New Haven Hospital named one of the 2018 top 10 non-profit companies for executive women

NEW HAVEN, CT (March 21, 2018) – Yale New Haven Hospital has been named one of the Top 10 Nonprofit Companies for Executive Women for 2018 by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). This award recognizes organizations that identify and advance women through their ranks. The announcement will be featured in the April/May issue of Working Mother and on workingmother.com.

“We are very fortunate and honored to be nationally recognized again by NAFE,” said Marna Borgstrom, CEO, Yale New Haven Health and Yale New Haven Hospital. “We are proud of the many accomplished and distinguished women in our leadership team who live our values of being patient-centered, respectful, compassionate, committed to acting with integrity and always being accountable.”

The NAFE Top 10 Nonprofit Companies for 2018 are: Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina, Bon Secours Virginia Health System, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey, Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, Scripps Health, TriHealth, WellStar Health System and Yale New Haven Hospital.

“The NAFE ‘Top 10 Nonprofit Companies’ are the leaders in the U.S. that have moved women into top executive positions and created a culture where talented women are nurtured, promoted and thrive,” sayid Betty Spence, president of NAFE. “We are very proud to honor their contribution to the advancement of women in the workplace.”

The 2018 NAFE Top Companies application includes approximately 200 questions on female representation at all levels, concentrating on high-level women. The vetting process includes tracking access and usage of programs and policies that promote the advancement of women as well as the training and accountability of managers in relation to the number of women who advance.
