Yale New Haven Hospital

“Ambassadors of the hospital” celebrate and G.R.O.W.

G.R.O.W. (Gratitude, Resilience, Open-minded, Wellness)

On April 22, Yale New Haven Hospital’s business associates, communication associates, information associates and unit associates held their annual celebration, this year themed “G.R.O.W. (Gratitude, Resilience, Open-minded, Wellness).”

The leaders of the BA, CA, IA and UA Council, Darlene Ross, BA, Pediatric Short Stay; Sharlene Perry, CA, Perioperative Services; and Tameka Pearson, BA, Neurosciences and Medical Specialty, worked with their patient services manager liaison Sandra Anyoha, RN, DNP, to organize an event filled with gratitude.

The Rev. Dinushka De Silva, hospital chaplain, opened the event, calling BAs, CAs, IAs and UAs “ambassadors of the hospital.” Courtney Vose, RN, DNP, YNHH chief nursing officer, and Ena Williams, RN, PhD, Yale New Haven Health chief nurse executive, joined other nursing leaders and staff at the celebration, which focused on the many ways BAs, CAs, IAs and UAs support patients, visitors and staff on their units.

Bud Wassell, coordinator, Employee and Family Resources for Yale New Haven Health, provided in-person and virtual attendees with tips and exercises to enhance wellness. Thank you to the hospital’s BAs, CAs, IAs and UAs for all they do!
