October is “Point of Care Competency Month”

To avoid being locked out, all glucometer operators must run levels 1 & 3 QC in September/October to automatically extend their access another year. All staff who perform waived POC must complete their annual competency assessments for urine dipstick/hCG, Hemoccult/Gastroccult, Hemocue, Coaguchek, Hgb A1c, pH and rapid Strep A.  This is done with the POC trainer on your unit.
