Dr. Andy A. Beltrán is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in community psychiatry, clinical leadership, and medical education. He serves as Medical Director at Community Mental Health Affiliates, the Hispanic Health Council, and Branford Counseling and Community Services, where he leads multidisciplinary teams and develops community-based behavioral health programs.Dr. Beltrán is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where he teaches and mentors medical students and residents in community-based settings. He previously worked within the Yale New Haven Health System in consultative psychiatry, collaborating with hematology and oncology teams, including providing psychiatric care within the Adult Sickle Cell Program at Smilow Cancer Hospital.His professional interests include culturally responsive psychiatric care, health equity, and the development of training environments that prepare physicians to serve diverse and underserved populations.
