Asim Tarabar, MD, specializes in emergency medicine with a focus on medical toxicology. He provides comprehensive care for patients with toxicological issues including poisoning, substance abuse and withdrawal.
As an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Tarabar’s research interests are centered on substance abuse and prevention. He has contributed several articles addressing substance abuse and withdrawal and was a contributing author to Goldfrank’s Toxicologic Emergencies, a leading reference in the field of toxicology.
Dr. Tarabar received his medical training from the Medical School of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital and a fellowship in medical toxicology at New York University, Bellevue Hospital/New York Poison Control Center.
