Cristian Ionita, MD, is a pediatric neurologist who focuses on neuromuscular disorders and headache management.

Dr. Ionita provides comprehensive care for young patients with complex neurological conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques.

Also an associate professor of pediatrics in neurology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Ionita is involved in a variety of electrophysiological studies in children and participates in clinical trials aimed at advancing treatments for pediatric neuromuscular conditions.

Dr. Ionita completed his medical degree at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, followed by pediatrics and child neurology training at SUNY Downstate. He further specialized in pediatric neuromuscular disorders through a fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern.
