Maya Bartel, APRN

Maya Bartel, APRN, a board-certified internal medicine nurse practitioner, enjoys maintaining long-term patient partnerships and providing longitudinal care across the changing landscape of adult health care needs. Above all else, she aims to be approachable and empathetic. Maya employs evidence-based practice to obtain the best health outcomes for her patients and treats a broad spectrum of both chronic disease states (including diabetes, high blood pressure, insomnia, arthritis, thyroid disorders) and acute complaints (such as abdominal pain, rashes, sinus pressure, headache).

Maya earned her master’s degree in nursing from Yale University. Prior to her career in nursing, Maya worked as a researcher and women and children’s health coordinator for homeless populations in San Francisco, California. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her young children and husband and visiting the Humane Society to feed the guinea pigs and rabbits fresh spinach. Maya is board-certified in family practice with a specialty in oncology by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
