Mehmet S. Ozcan, MD

Mehmet S. Ozcan, MD, is a neurosurgical and critical care anesthesiologist who focuses on providing safe anesthesia for surgical procedures involving the brain and spine. He works closely with surgical teams to monitor brain function, help prevent complications, and support patients in intensive care settings.

As an associate professor of anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Ozcan studies ways to improve outcomes for individuals with cerebrovascular conditions and intracranial tumors. He has published peer-reviewed manuscripts and review articles on intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring and ethical considerations in neurocritical care.

Dr. Ozcan completed his medical training at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa School of Medicine in Turkey and pursued both residency and fellowship training in anesthesiology and critical care at the University of Florida.
