Natalie deQuillfeldt, MD

Natalie deQuillfeldt, MD, MA, a board-certified internal medicine physician, believes the best care begins with understanding each patient's unique health goals and motivations. Through education, personalized guidance, and a focus on both prevention and chronic disease management, she loves empowering patients with knowledge to make informed decisions about their health and achieve lasting improvements in their health. Dr. deQuillfeldt applies a communication technique called motivational interviewing to help patients explore their goals. She uses her knowledge of addiction medicine to treat nicotine, alcohol, opioid, and other substance use disorders and has a passion for women’s health, particularly supporting reproductive autonomy through family planning.

Dr. deQuillfeldt earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson. She completed her residency at the University of Colorado, where she served as a chief medical resident and won a teaching award from the Society of General Internal Medicine for her work with TeachIM, a free medical education online platform, and completed her fellowship in addiction medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. deQuillfeldt is trained in Nexplanon and intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and is board-eligible for addiction medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM).
