Biography - Pamela P. Hu, MD

Pamela Hu, MD, specializes in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes, focusing on providing comprehensive care for children with endocrine disorders. She pursued pediatric endocrinology because she loves working with children and their families to reach their health goals, and she values the long-term care she can provide her patients. Her clinical interests include caring for children with obesity, metabolic bone disease, and endocrine effects of cancer treatment.

As an assistant professor of pediatrics (endocrinology) at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Hu is involved in clinical trials in the fields of pediatric metabolic bone disease and both adult and pediatric obesity medicine. She also has an interest in quality improvement projects aimed at increasing equitable access to healthcare.

Dr. Hu received her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and completed her pediatric residency and pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital. She is board-certified in pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology, and obesity medicine.
