Yale-New Haven Health System announced today that the Smilow Cancer Hospital has achieved QOPI® Certification. Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) status reflects a commitment to quality of care that leads to fundamental changes in the clinical practice of oncology.

Ten additional Northeast Medical group practices have achieved Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), bringing the number of NEMG practices that are medical homes to 22.

Doctors at Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) were recently cited in a New England Journal of Medicine article summarizing the results of the LEVANT 2 clinical study, which found that the LUTONIX® 035 Drug Coated Balloon PTA Catheter (DCB) showed superiority compared with standard percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA).
