Our Committees and Programs

The Auxiliary plays a vital role in helping Yale New Haven Hospital better serve our patients, support our community and fulfill the hospital’s mission. We sponsor programs that touch almost every patient. Our committees perform important work that helps improve life within the hospital and throughout the community. We’re continually looking for new ideas and ways to serve, and welcome your ideas, support and contribution.

Funds received by the Auxiliary allow us to provide grants to Yale New Haven Hospital departments for any patient help and support that is not included in the Hospital’s budget. Project Grants Committee members help solicit, receive and evaluate grant proposals. In 2015, grants totaling nearly $115,000 were made by the Auxiliary to a variety of areas throughout the Hospital. These funds were generated by a number of sources including fundraising activities and proceeds from the gift shops and Toy Closet Golf Outing.
