Adult and Pediatric Intensive Care

Emergency Services

Nursing professionals have the opportunity to excel in three distinct and rewarding ED environments. Our Adult ED is one of only six Level 1 Trauma Centers in the state. Our Pediatric ED next door is the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in the state and serves more than 26,000 patients every year. And in Guilford, CT, our Shoreline Medical Center provides triage and care for adult and pediatric patients in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility. Post-Anesthesia Care

Our post-anesthesia care (PACU) teams help provide the most sophisticated and effective perioperative, inpatient and ambulatory services possible for an extensive range of services—from postoperative ventilation and pain control to ongoing assessment, monitoring and patient care. And they do it all with compassion and respect for patients, family members and colleagues, contributing to an environment that’s satisfying, challenging and rewarding for RNs at all levels.

Pediatrics

Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital is Connecticut’s premier pediatric care facility due in large part to the skill, knowledge and compassion of our pediatric nurses. Nursing Specialty Fields

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

As an APRN, you will work closely with our medical, nursing and social work teams to provide comprehensive physical evaluation and patient management. But you’ll also act as an educator—a clinical expert, teacher and resource for our hospital staff, our patients and their families, to ensure the highest level of patient care, quality and safety.


Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Our CRNAs work in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons and other physicians and medical professionals to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.

Care Coordinator
