Denise Fiore of Clinton named VP of clinical support services at Yale New Haven Hospital

2/21/2011 — Clinton resident Denise Fiore, formerly executive director, Radiology and Laboratory Services, has been promoted to vice president of clinical support services at Yale New Haven Hospital. She will assume additional administrative responsibility for the Department of Rehabilitation Services and Respiratory Care.

Fiore, who is responsible for Diagnostic Radiology and Laboratory Medicine, began her career at YNHH in 1977 as a medical technologist. She is a Six Sigma black belt who leads a hospital-wide effort in the use of quality techniques that increase service excellence and effective use of hospital resources.

Fiore currently serves on the Quinnipiac University School of Health Sciences Advisory Board. She is also president of the Connecticut Hospital Laboratory Network and was also the past president of the Connecticut Women in Healthcare Management, Inc., and a member of the American College of HealthCare Executives.

Fiore earned her bachelor's degree in medical technology and an MBA from Quinnipiac University. In 2008, she received Quinnipiac University's Outstanding Business Alumni Award.
