Karen DuBois-Walton, PhD and Jocelyn Cunningham named to Yale New Haven Hospital’s Board of Trustees

New Haven, CT (October 3, 2019) – Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) has named Karen Dubois-Walton, PhD and Jocelyn Cunningham as incoming members to the YNHH Board of trustees. Ms. Dubois-Walton will join the Board on October 1 while Ms. Cunningham officially joins on December 1.

“We are so excited to have Karen and Jocelyn join our Board of Trustees – they bring us a wealth of experience and knowledge,” said Marna P. Borgstrom, CEO, Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale New Haven Health. “Their unique perspectives will provide new insight and vision to help grow Yale New Haven Hospital.”

Ms. DuBois-Walton currently serves as the president of the Elm City Communities/Housing Authority, president of The Glendower Group, LLC and president of 360 Management Group, Co. responsible for administrative, programmatic and policy direction. As executive director of the Housing Authority, she works with some of the city’s poorest families, providing them basic housing and a host of skills-building and other supportive services. Ms. DuBois-Walton has been involved in the New Haven for many years, having served as the COO for the Housing Authority of New Haven, as well as chief of staff for Mayor John DeStefano, Jr. A trained clinical psychologist, she also served in positions with the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and Yale Child Study Center.

Ms. Cunningham is a senior partner in Deloitte’s Financial Services Industry (FSI) practice in New York. She has held numerous leadership positions within the FSI practice and the Consulting practice. She has also held senior client leadership roles. Ms. Cunningham serves Deloitte’s largest banking and capital market clients and has significant experience in both securities and banking. Ms. Cunningham is committed to Diversity and Inclusion and leads certain of the Firm’s activities including representing Deloitte on the US 30% Club Steering Committee and supporting the Deloitte Corporate Governance efforts on diversity. She is a member of the Senior Partner Advisory Committee of the Firm.
