New Haven (March 24, 2021) – Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) has been honored by Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC) as one of the nation’s top employers for commuters for the tenth year in a row. During its evaluation, BWC found that over 14 percent of YNHH employees get to work by means other than driving alone. The hospital’s efforts to address employee concerns regarding challenges like traffic congestion and carbon emissions as well as its range of commuter benefits were also hailed.
“We take immense pride in being nationally recognized for the tenth year in a row as a Best Workplace for Commuters,” said Rodney Slaughter, director, Parking and Transportation, Yale New Haven Hospital. “The commuter benefit programs and incentives offered by YNHH reflect our commitment to our employees.”
YNHH offers employees several commuter benefit options and alternatives to single-occupancy vehicle use, including shuttle services, public transportation subsidies, car- and van-pooling and other alternatives.
