Dr. Annamalai spends a majority of her clinical time caring for seriously mentally ill patients. She works towards integrating primary care into the psychiatric care of these patients. She also cares for vulnerable populations such as refugees. She directs the refugee clinic that performs medical screening for all refuges arriving in the New Haven area. Her clinical interest in all populations is integrating medical and psychiatric care.
