Pediatric units earn state nursing award

The Connecticut Nurses Association recently presented its 2024 Excellence in the Workplace Award to Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care units. The award recognizes workplace environments that empower nurses and promote professional autonomy and control over nursing practice. According to the award nomination, YNHCH’s pediatric critical care units “consistently achieve exceptional patient outcomes through the integration of cutting-edge technology, evidence-based practices and continuous staff education.”
