  2. Call the Employee Resource Center at 844-543-2147, Option 2.
  3. Schedule online at www.ynhhs.org/covidvaccine.

Please arrive on time for your appointment and bring your employee ID.

Scholarship applications accepted beginning March 1

Applications will be accepted March 1 - April 30 for the Frances Grindell Care Associate Scholarship for YNHH care associates pursuing nursing degrees. To be eligible, employees must be in good employment standing and working at least 24 hours per week for at least one year as a care associate. Scholarships of up to $750 for full-time employees and $500 for part-time employees will be awarded annually to qualified applicants who have been accepted by or are enrolled in a Connecticut registered nursing licensure program. Applications must be submitted online only. Applicants will be required to submit official transcripts, a letter of recommendation from a YNHH manager and complete an application questionnaire. Visit HRConnect (in network only) for more information. The scholarship fund was established by the children of the late Frances Q. Grindell, RN, a YNHH nurse for 44 years, to honor her love for education and dedication to nursing.

YNHH to promote colorectal cancer awareness

During National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in March, Yale New Haven Health physicians will be featured in articles and social media posts about colorectal cancer, including prevention and screening – particularly the effectiveness of home stool kits. Experts with Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Screening and Prevention Program have created a flyer featuring FAQs about colorectal cancer and screening. For a free copy, contact the Smilow Cancer Screening and Prevention Program at 203-200-3030 or [email protected].

YNHHS honored for music performances for patients

Yale New Haven Health and Yale School of Music alumni recently received a Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors Excellence Award for the Music for Healing program. The program features recorded performances by Yale School of Music alumni that are available on patient room TVs at different YNHHS delivery networks. The program was organized by School of Music alumni, who created the online concert series Home2Home when COVID-19 canceled performance opportunities. YNHHS collaborated with the alumni to bring the program to patients and health system staff.
