Compliance Week information fairs Nov. 9 and 10

YNHHS’ Office of Privacy and Corporate Compliance (OPCC) will mark Compliance Week Nov. 7 – 11 with information fairs: 11 am - 1 pm Wednesday, Nov. 9, Saint Raphael Campus cafeteria entrance; and 11 am - 1 pm Thursday, Nov. 10, York Street Campus East Pavilion Cafeteria. OPCC representatives will be available, along with information and giveaways.

YNHHS implements new Risk Management process

YNHHS has a new, streamlined process to access the Clinical Risk Management team. During business hours, call the Risk Management Call Center, 475-246-7475 (RISK) or email [email protected]. Calls and emails will be triaged, prioritized and responded to after team review. There is no change to the after-hours access process (notifying off-shift hospital clinical leaders or nursing supervisors).

YNHH recognized for hip fracture treatment, spine surgery

YNHH’s Saint Raphael Campus recently earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Hip Fracture Certification and the Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a healthcare organization’s commitment to providing safe, quality patient care. The Joint Commission is the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. 

In-person Heart Walk a success

Thanks to all participants in the American Heart Association’s annual Greater New Haven Heart Walk May 7. Teams representing Yale New Haven Hospital Heart and Vascular Center (HVC) and Yale University raised $41,007. This marked the first in-person Greater New Haven Heart Walk at Savin Rock, West Haven, since 2019. Funds raised help support scientific research and advances related to heart disease and stroke. Yale New Haven Health HVC was an event sponsor.
