YNHHS to hold Donate Life Month events

Please join YNHHS to celebrate National Donate Life Month in April. The month-long celebration showcases perspectives of those touched by donation and transplantation.

Each April, YNHHS focuses attention on every individual’s power to make life possible by registering to be an organ and tissue donor and learning more about living donation.

Yale New Haven Transplantation Center is one of the nation’s top transplant programs, offering adult and pediatric liver, kidney and heart transplantation. The center is also fortunate to have experienced surgeons with expertise in performing liver and kidney transplants from living donors.

During National Donate Life Month, the Transplantation Center is hosting these events:

  • Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 24, 8 am - 2 pm: Organ donation awareness and education table, York Street Campus East Pavilion Cafeteria entrance.
  • Tuesday, April 9, noon - 1 pm: Health Resources and Services Administration award ceremony, YSC EP Special Events area (light refreshments), followed by Donate Life flag-raising at YSC entrance flag pole, weather permitting.
