Winchester Center for Lung Disease – North Haven

Overview

The Winchester Center for Lung Disease, (WCLD) is a multidisciplinary center for the diagnosis and care of patients with lung disease and treatment of a variety of respiratory conditions including tuberculosis and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Programs include:

  • Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center
  • Center for Pulmonary Infection Research and Treatment (CPIRT)
  • Comprehensive Pulmonary Medicine Program - evaluation of unexplained symptoms such as cough, wheezing and shortness of breath
  • Post-COVID-19 Recovery Program - evaluation of patients with persistent shortness of breath and exercise intolerance more than 6-8 weeks after initial infection)
  • Pulmonary Vascular Diseases - including pulmonary hypertension and thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension, a complication of blood clots in the lungs
  • Yale Center for Asthma and Airways Disease (YCAAD)
  • Yale Center for Interstitial Lung Diseases (Yale-ILD) - including pulmonary fibrosis and sarcoidosis

This location also has extensive capabilities for Pulmonary Function Testing.
