Lost and Found

Items lost in public areas around the hospital are often brought to the Protective Services office in the hospital's East Pavilion. They may also be returned to and kept in the specific department or physician's office in which they were left.

Call 203-688-2500 to inquire about a missing item or to get directions to the Protective Services Office. Or speak to a staff member in the department or office where the item was lost. To get the phone number for a specific area of the hospital, try the Yale New Haven Hospital directory.

Patients and visitors are reminded not to bring valuables with them to the hospital or leave personal items unattended, including:

• Excessive amounts of cash
• Jewelry
• iPods^®, radios, cameras, CD players, laptops and other electronics

If you must bring valuables, keep them in a secure place or ask a member of your patient care team about storing them one of the safes available in many patient care units.
