Orchard Street to close for utility, Neurosciences Center and Bed Tower project work

Starting in the next few weeks, Orchard Street near the Saint Raphael Campus will be closed periodically for utility and Neurosciences project work. Start dates depend on permit approvals. 

• Mid- to late-July: Orchard Street between Chapel and George streets will close for utility work. Ambulances and ED traffic will still be able to access the ED entrance.
• Date TBD: Orchard Street (between George and Chapel streets) will be closed for about three days for installation of a pedestrian bridge from the new Orchard Street Garage. Ambulance and ED traffic will be routed from Chapel Street.

YNHHS updates mask policy

With no increase in staff or patient COVID-19 exposures and virus-related hospitalizations trending downward, YNHHS is no longer requiring staff to wear masks in patient interactions. However, staff masking will continue to be required 

• When indicated for transmission-based precautions in the  inpatient setting (isolation).
• In the outpatient setting, in the rooms of patients with respiratory symptoms
