While the athletes grabbed the spotlight with their performances at Special Olympics Connecticut last month, more than 50 Yale New Haven Health employees provided behind-the-scenes support. Employees from a variety of departments throughout the health system volunteered the weekends of June 3 and 10, helping out in the Healthy Athletes venues and at swimming and track and field events.
A team from YNHHS’ Treasury department lent a hand at Special Olympics Connecticut, including Mallika Nair, senior investment strategist; Kristina Miner, insurance and risk management coordinator; and Michael Angelini, senior vice president and CIO.
