On Oct. 17, Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center presented the first Smilow Luminary Awards of Excellence to 48 people who consistently exceed performance expectations and deliver high-quality cancer care for patients, families and the health system throughout the year. The awardees, who serve in a variety of clinical and non-clinical roles and departments, were honored in four categories: community service, optimization/innovative solutions, leadership and (pictured) patient experience.
