More information and how to apply
YNHH provides internships for high school juniors and seniors attending Wilbur Cross, Hillhouse, Metropolitan and Career Regional high schools. The program consists of a 14-week session in the spring semester followed by a 5-week summer session. For more information, contact Cynthia Lowman, YNHHS Institute for Excellence, 203-688-1085.
The partnership consists of two unique programs involving YNHHS employees and JCD students. The first is the mock trial, in which Yale New Haven’s Legal & Risk Services team members coach students on various aspects of a trial, culminating in The People vs. Paul Bunyan. The mock trial occurs in a real courtroom and is presided over by a state judge. The other program is the annual model rocket launch, during which students apply STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) principles, and build, decorate and launch their own rockets.
