Smilow Cancer Hospital receives QOPI® Certification

Yale-New Haven Health System announced today that the Smilow Cancer Hospital has achieved QOPI® Certification. Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) status reflects a commitment to quality of care that leads to fundamental changes in the clinical practice of oncology.

Ten practices achieve NCQA Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home recognition

Ten additional Northeast Medical group practices have achieved Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), bringing the number of NEMG practices that are medical homes to 22.

Smilow Cancer Hospital offers chance to explore Qigong

Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center continue its series of Smilow Wellness Workshops with “Exploring Qigong,” an interactive workshop on Thursday, October 29 at 5:30 pm. The free workshop will be held in the 2nd floor conference room at 55 Park Street, on the Yale-New Haven Hospital campus in New Haven.

Yale-New Haven Hospital's Complementary Service Department will host a Labyrinth Walk, Thursday, May 7, 11 am - 1:30 pm in the Seminar Room at 55 Park Street. Free and open to the public, the labyrinth walk is a meditative exercise that allows for contemplation and reflection and provides a place to retreat, regroup and renew. Walking a labyrinth takes only 5 -10 minutes and supports each individual's personal journey.
