U.S. News & World Report once again recognizes Yale New Haven Hospital

YNHH only hospital in Connecticut nationally ranked

NEW HAVEN, CT (August 8, 2017) – Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) continues to rank among the top U.S. hospitals, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Hospitals” listing. Of the nearly 5,000 hospitals surveyed, YNHH ranks nationally in nine specialties.

YNHH Psychiatry (11) and Geriatrics (15) specialties rank in the nation’s top 15 while Pulmonology ranks #19, Ear, Nose and Throat #22, Neurology and Neurosurgery ranks #28, while Urology and Diabetes and Endocrinology both rank #29.

Yale New Haven Hospital is ranked among the best nationally in two other medical specialties: Gastroenterology ranks #33 and Kidney Disorders #31.

Milford, CT (December 31, 2025) – The Yale New Haven Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU), located at the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital, has been recognized as a top Physical Rehabilitation Center by Newsweek. The Milford Campus IRU was ranked eighth in the Northeast.
